My name is David Allen. I am a poet and a cancer kicker. Ten years or so ago, I defeated non-Hodgkin Lymphoma, a blood cancer. During the last year, I've been fighting lung cancer. And, even as I am wheelchair-bound and fatigued, I am winning.

But it has cost. I had to abandon the basement and second floor of my home. I have a great shower and office upstairs that I haven't used in over a year. That's why I am trying to raise enough money to get stairlifts that will give me access.

I'd also like to have a deck and ramp built connecting my back door to our wonderful backyard.
