On Saturday, April 19, 2025, David was in a motorcycle accident. He was airlifted to the Richland Hospital in Columbia S. C. He was diagnosed with brain and lung bleed, broken ribs, broken bones above his eye, and severe spinal injuries (‘C’ series and ‘T” series fractures). On Sunday night, the ‘T’ series vertebras were fused by surgery.

David remains sedated and cannot breath on his own, although he is able to follow commands such as squeezing the nurse’s hand and opening his eyes. He now has caught pneumonia, so extubating will be delayed, and a trachea may be necessary later.
