Hi, my name is David Farris Jr., and I’m a proud senior at Langston University, just one semester away from graduating with my Bachelor’s in Criminal Justice and Corrections, a minor in Sociology, and an Associate’s in General Education. As a first-generation college student, this journey means everything to me; it represents years of sacrifice, hard work, and faith that I could change my future.
At Langston, I’ve dedicated myself to leadership and service. I currently serve in the Student Government Association Senate, co-chair the Civics Committee, and hold roles as Secretary and Vice President of the Beta Epsilon Chapter of Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Inc. Off-campus, I work at the YMCA to support youth and families in our community.
Balancing work, school, and leadership has been challenging, but it’s shaped me into the person I am today, which is resilient, focused, and determined. Unfortunately, despite working and using every financial aid resource available, I still have a remaining balance that’s preventing me from enrolling in my final semester.
I’m asking for your help to reach the finish line. Any donation, big or small, will bring me one step closer to earning my degree and continuing to give back to my community. Even sharing my story means the world to me.
Thank you for believing in my journey and helping me take this final step toward graduation.
