Desde entonces, David necesita atención médica las 24 horas del día. Su madre dejó de trabajar para poder cuidarlo, mientras su padre es el único sostén de la familia, que además tiene cuatro niños más.

Bañarlo y moverlo se ha convertido en una batalla diaria. Por seis años han estado sin la cama especial que David necesita, una cama que le permitiría descansar, recibir terapias, y bañarse con seguridad y dignidad.
