My name is David, and I am 30 years old. Since late August, I have been facing homelessness, and it has been one of the most challenging times of my life. On top of not having a stable place to stay, I am also battling an autoimmune deficiency that causes multiple open wounds and requires me to undergo several treatments each month. These health issues make daily life even more difficult, especially without a safe and secure place to rest and recover.

Until recently, I was sleeping in my vehicle, but it broke down due to mechanical issues, leaving me with nowhere to go. I am scared of staying in shelters because of some bad experiences in the past, which makes my situation even more uncertain. I am doing my best to stay hopeful and take things one day at a time, but it’s been incredibly tough.
