Our dear David, a devoted husband, faithful Christian, and beloved member of the Georgetown, South Carolina community, has recently been diagnosed with spindle cell melanoma — a rare and aggressive form of cancer found in the lymph nodes under his right arm. This devastating news has come suddenly and requires urgent, specialized medical treatment.

David is known to so many as “Captain David” — the warm and welcoming face behind the catamaran tours that showcase the beauty of Georgetown’s waters. His passion for the sea and for sharing it with others has made his business a local treasure. But beyond that, David is a man of deep faith, integrity, and quiet strength — someone who has always lived his life in service to God, his family, and his community.

He is married to the love of his life, Laura, who is currently recovering from a recent knee replacement. With both of them facing significant health challenges, this diagnosis has placed an enormous emotional and financial strain on their lives. David’s illness not only threatens his health, but also his ability to operate his business — their primary source of income.
