Help David Beat Cancer

On January 19, 2017... just a few weeks after my little brother, David Normandin, moved into his first apartment, he was diagnosed with a devastating and life changing diagnosis: Hodgkin's Lymphoma.
David had a large mass in his neck and due to fear and financial restrictions he didn’t seek immediate medical attention. David recently moved to Phoenix where he has made big strides toward a more fulfilling life.
After becoming more active and losing about 40 pounds, breathing started to get harder and harder. We thought he had a cold and was congested with a terrible cough that he couldn’t kick. David ended up going to the emergency room because he was having a hard time breathing, where they ended up admitting him, transferring him to another hospital and keeping him to run tests.
The mass in his neck extends down into his chest cavity and is stage 2 Hodgkin’s Lymphoma. A PET scan that we are awaiting results for will determine if it is stage 3 and fortunately a bone marrow biopsy has ruled out stage 4. The mass is pressing against his trachea; causing the cough and difficulty breathing.
David starts chemotherapy on Monday. He will have chemo every 2 weeks for the next 6 months. He is unable to continue working at his current job due to the toll that chemo will take on his lungs and the chemicals at his place of work.
More than anything, we are seeking a support system. Denial, anger, fear, sadness… they’re all unpredictable and showing their faces.
I can provide an address if anyone would like to send letters or cards. Please help if you can. Even a card would be greatly appreciated. It is easy for somebody going through this to feel alone and that is the last thing that we want.
