Help David, Autumn after nearly everything stolen
Donation protected
David and Autumn woke up to a nightmare on March 10th. They had just packed their entire lives into a U-Haul and were heading to Los Angeles. The plan was to move there, find some new fun work adventures and live in a place with more sun.
When Autumn went outside early Thursday morning her heart nearly jumped out of her chest when she realized the U-Haul they had so carefully packed, with nearly all of their personal and professional possessions, was no longer there.
All she could do was hug David and cry. Her heart felt like it was going to jump out of her chest.
Seattle Police responded and said they found the mostly empty U-Haul in a Ballard industrial area. David and Autumn went to see what was left. There was an ironing board, some of Autumn’s clothes, some empty plastic bins, some hangars, a few sentimental items. But not much else.
The thieves even took their kitty Marley’s cat tower and David’s Mezcal collection.
Insurance has declined to cover any of it.
My name is Josh and I am friends with David and Autumn. I worked with David on film projects for the last few years. This GoFundMe is a community effort to help two incredibly loving and caring humans start over.
To make this even more complicated, David lost all of his hard drives, many years worth of film work, his camera equipment and most of the tools for his profession. So the jump start needed here will be substantial.
Thank you all for caring and I am sure David would give each one of you a big hug.
Here are photos that show how they stole the U-Haul and cut open the door. This was a professional job.
