David and Angeline have been married for 44 years. In May 2024, they moved to Australia to be close to their son (see the picture at their son's wedding in happier times)—but now they urgently need to return to Houston. Since they aren't residents in Australia, they do not have health insurance, Medicare or Medicaid.

Angeline (64) has serious heart problems. Doctors in Australia estimate her care will cost $100,000.

David (73) is in severe pain in his legs and can hardly walk. He needs a full neurological evaluation. He might need assisted living or nursing care—again, prohibitively expensive in Australia.

Unfortunately, they don’t have money for plane tickets or a car back in Houston (it’s a must-have in Houston), though thankfully they already have a place to stay once they arrive.

We’re aiming to raise $10,000, which will cover:

One-way plane tickets for both

A used car so they can get to appointments

Initial transportation and living costs on the ground

They’re not looking for a handout—just a way to get the care they truly need back in Houston.
