David and Sally Bartrom are lifelong friends of the organizer, and this fundraiser is being created to help them and their family recover after devastating flooding from the White River severely damaged their longtime family home. First and foremost, David and Sally are incredibly thankful that their family is safe. That is what matters most. But now they are facing an enormous cleanup and recovery effort. Floodwaters entered their home and caused extensive damage to appliances, furniture, personal belongings, and the house itself. After decades of memories in their family home, they are now dealing with the difficult process of cleaning up, assessing the damage, and beginning to rebuild.

This is all happening during what should be one of the happiest weeks for their family: their daughter is getting married next Saturday. Instead of being able to focus entirely on celebrating her wedding, David and Sally are juggling flood cleanup, damaged belongings, home repairs, insurance questions, and all the unexpected challenges that come with a disaster like this. Donations will help with flood cleanup and professional remediation, repairs to their home, replacement of damaged appliances, furniture, and household necessities, temporary living and recovery expenses, insurance deductibles and expenses not covered by insurance, and other unexpected costs as they work to restore their home.
