Dear friends, family, and fellow humans,
I am reaching out to you with a heavy heart to ask for your support for my Uncle David and his wife MaryEllen, who have recently lost everything in the Altadena Fires that have devastated their community. The fires have taken away their homes, belongings, and sense of security. The road to recovery will be long, but with your help and support it can be done.
The Situation
David and MaryEllen have always been the first to lend a hand to others. Tragically, in the blink of an eye, they lost it all when the fires swept through their neighborhood.
Not only did they lose their home, but many of their personal possessions, photos, and irreplaceable items are gone. What’s even harder is that they are facing the emotional toll of this tragedy and the financial burden of starting from scratch.
How You Can Help
We are setting up this GoFundMe to raise funds that will help David and MaryEllen cover the immediate costs of temporary housing, basic necessities (clothing, toiletries, food), and the long-term expenses of helping with this new chapter their lives.
Every donation—no matter how big or small—will make a tremendous difference and bring them one step closer to recovery. Your generosity will help them with:
Temporary Housing: They need a safe place to stay while they figure out their next steps.
Essential Supplies: Clothes, toiletries, food, and other daily needs and replacing some of the possessions they lost in their home.
Thank You for Your Support
Whether you can contribute financially or simply share this page with others, your support means the world to us. No one should have to go through something like this alone, and with your help, we know David and MaryEllen will find hope again.
From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for being a part of their journey to recovery.
With Gratitude,
Amy Arroyo
