Help David and Lina Replace their home, Arabesque
Donation protected
A few nights ago friends David Ludwig and Lina Shanklin were traveling and asleep in their Airstream trailer, “Arabesque,” which was their home. Sadly, their Airstream was completely destroyed when a 16-mile high-speed police chase ended with the perpetrator who had run multiple red lights at high speeds lost control and plowed into their trailer, shearing off an entire side.
Fortunately, Airstreams are well-built and the queen bed miraculously rolled up around them to protect them from major injury although David suffered a fractured rib and they both are experiencing lower back pain and the effects of shock and loss.
Their home and much of the contents were completely destroyed, and rescuers had to cut the trailer for them to escape.
Now they now need to rebuild their lives, find temporary housing and a new home, rent storage space for their recovery personal items, replaced destroyed items, and cover additional expenses that come with such a loss and transition. Please help at whatever level you can.
Here is more about the accident.
