TOO YOUNG TO HAVE A STROKE!!
On Easter Sunday David Rudd was at work, not at home celebrating the holiday with his family, but putting in long overnight hours at his job delivering gas.  He was used to missing holidays because he was the sole provider for his household. He worked hard with little complaint. He was in Coeur d' Alene offloading gas when he started to feel funny. He said he felt like he was floating and continually dropped things in his left hand. He called his dispatch and told them he would not be able to finish his shift, all the while feeling guilty about the time lost. He proceeded to drive himself home and backed into his driveway as was his normal routine. He ended up backing into his garage. David and his wife went to the hospital and it was determined he had had a ischemic stroke. His carotid artery had tear in it and had formed a clot. He was put on blood thinners and after a short time in the hospital he was sent home. He had some weakness and loss of feeling on his left side but could feel the nerves trying to rejenerate. After being at home for about a week and a half David again was rushed into the hospital with another stroke and this time with two brain bleeds. One the size of a grape. The tear to his carotid was now more extensive. He did not fair as well after this second stroke. His short term memory is affected. He can be seemingly normal one second and then he drifts into a childlike state the next. He can hold a conversation but his muscle memory is lacking. He will need occupational, speech, and physical therapy in a rehabilitation hospital for an undetermined amount of time. He has medical insurance for now but he will only have it for another month since he needs to work 40 hours a week to maintain it. His family now has no source of income for the unforseen future. He will most likely never be able to work again and he is only 50 years old!He has two children that are still underage that he is responsible for in addition to his wife. Like most of us he has a mortgage payment, car payments, and the bills are piling up with their bank account dwindling to nothing. I am asking for financial help on their behalf until they can get a handle on this situation. Thank you sincerely for taking the time to read this and please donate to this family in need!
