David has been in the ICU for a week in critical condition after a foot wound turned into flesh eating bacteria. Doctors had to amputate his big toe and part of his foot, and he is now in kidney failure and on dialysis. Additionally, with the flesh eating bacteria, he also is dealing with a massive UTI. Both of those infections has turned into sepsis. The next steps are uncertain, with possibilities including rehab, a nursing home, or hospice care at home.

Us kids have been supporting our mom in the best way we can. She has missed work and is managing hospital meals and added stress.
