This page is being set up and managed by family members to help ease the burden which David & Amanda are now trying to navigate. Due to the unexpected illness of their beautiful baby Amelia who is currently in Boston Children's Hospital since this past weekend.

These funds will help with lost wages, medical cost and the unknown to come. As of now, they have been informed they will remain in the hospital for at least 14 days, with multiple test and scans scheduled and unexpected cost adding up each day.

We’ve had a very scary past 24 hours. We noticed that Amelia wasn’t acting like herself and decided to take action rather than waiting, and thank god we did. We brought her to Lowell General Hospital and they diagnosed her with bacterial meningitis. Shortly after the diagnosis they sent her to Boston by ambulance where she can get better treatment in the ICU at Children’s Hospital. They told us that she’ll be here at least 14 days minimum if everything keeps trending this way. The infectious disease team said because we acted so quickly the odds are in her favor that she shouldn’t have any life long neurological issues. She will be getting an MRI in a few days and they’ll also be checking her hearing. She seems to be responding to loud noises so that’s good. Dave and I are out of our minds and just looking for support. Please keep Amelia in your thoughts and pray that she keeps moving in the right direction.

Update from Amanda today.

Amelia will be getting an MRI today, She has to be put under anesthesia with a breathing tube for the procedure because of her age. We will know a lot more about where she's at once she has this done.
