Help Davey Sanderson & family: emergency expenses
Donation protected
Meet Davey Sanderson: husband, father, son, and grandfather. Davey works hard to provide for his family, and he and his wife, Kim, share three children together: Breanna, who is 16 and beautiful, loves to play soccer; Brooklyn, who is 9 and very caring, loves cats; and Jaxson, who is 8 and funny, loves to watch DVDs and make YouTube videos.
Married for 18 years, Davey and Kim have certainly been blessed, but there have been struggles too. Despite jobs being lost, they have endured. Despite ongoing financial difficulties, they have persevered. Despite Jaxson’s autism diagnosis, they have prevailed.
Davey has felt physically tired and exhausted the past few months. As his symptoms worsened, Kim finally convinced him to go to the doctor, but never did they imagine that he was in congestive heart failure. On August 4, the increased difficulty in breathing had an identified cause - an enlarged heart. He was able to quickly see a cardiologist, and tests were scheduled for the following week; however, in the early hours of August 7, Davey suffered a heart attack. After undergoing a heart catheter test, doctors determined that he didn’t have any blockages; however, his heart is functioning at only 10%. The underlying cause of his dilated cardiomyopathy is unknown.
After a few days in the hospital, Davey was released to further recover at home. He is on an assortment of medications, utilizes an oxygen tank for ease of breathing, and now wears a defibrillator vest 24/7.
Davey’s future right now is uncertain – will he be able to work and support his family? If needed, will he be approved for disability, and how many months will that take? How will Kim and Davey keep up with medical bills when already in dire financial straits?
Davey and Kim desperately need love and support from friends, family, and the community. Prayers, kind words, and positive thoughts are requested. The family would also benefit from financial gifts, which would be used primarily for medical and everyday bills and grocery expenses. All funds collected will go straight to the Sanderson family to help support their family during this challenging time.
