I am starting this fundraiser due to major life events happening to both me & my mom Karen and discussing with my doctors & close friends.

The week before Thanksgiving, my contract suddenly ended. In December I was diagnosed with a rare neurological disease called FND (Functional Neurological Disorder) and my mom was diagnosed with a rare kidney cancer and will be having surgery in July after 8 rounds of intensive chemotherapy. This will be our third battle with cancer together.

My mobility has been reduced, and I am working every day to get better. Some days are better than others. I have to use a cane now and some days I have to use a walker. I have also been looking for a new job that I can do remotely, but have had no offers yet.

The next few months will be challenging to say the least. I still need to have PT and some additional testing done, and need to be well enough to take care of Mom after her surgery. I have wiped out my savings trying to keep things going, and with no job offers by this month, I will be in financial ruin.

I have had friends helping me with tasks around the house, and as a few very dear friends have pointed out, I am usually the one who takes care of others but there are people who want to help me & mom.
