Help Dave with medical and other expenses

On Oct 28th Dave fell off of his front porch breaking his left shoulder, left wrist, and left hip. A couple of days later he had surgery to repair his arm. After the surgery he was told he can not walk on that leg for 6-8 weeks and because of the shoulder surgery he can not use crutches. This will pose a huge problem for getting around. He was discharged from Maine Med a few days after the surgery and sent to a rehab facility. While there his mental status declined. He was very confused and was not making sense. He wound up falling while there and reinjuring the shoulder. When the rehab facility had the ortho surgeon look at his shoulder he advised that Dave needed to go right back to Maine Med because of his mental status. Every day he was becoming more and more confused. Yesterday after a while on antibiotics and antivirals he started to become less confused. They went back into his shoulder today to repair the damage from the second fall and search for a possible infection. They had to remove the hardware and put in an antibiotic cement to hold his bone together until it heals enough to have plates put back in.

At this time we still do not know what is causing his confusion as well as what the recovery time will be.
