Hi everyone. As you know I'm Dave and I've come across a very challenging time in life. Like any people in my family, I find it very difficult to reach out for help, especially financial. Needless to say, this is a very scary time for me.

On Sunday March 2, while I was driving to work, the vision in my left eye went completely blurry and cloudy. I was able to safely pull off and get my son to bring me to the emergency room. After ruling out stroke, I was sent home with an appointment with opthalmologist.

After being seen by the opthamologitst, it was determined my vision is being occluded by a cataract. I also have a cataract in my right eye occluding my vision. After a few appointments, I have surgery set for Match 20 for my left eye and the beginning of April for my right.

I'm employed full time but I'm not in a position to afford healthcare through my employer, and I make too muuch to receive other affordable options. I have applied for assistance through the VA and continue to wait to hear back from them.

As I've said, it's very difficult for me to ask for any kind of help. Even considering doing this has been a very humbling experience for me. Anyy assistance is greatly apprecited.
