Help Dave on his long road to recovery

Donation protected
Our beloved friend and coworker Dave was viciously attacked while riding his bike home from his birthday party. On his way through the woods, he heard male voices yelling at a female and went to investigate. He asked the men to stop, and he was pepper-sprayed and brutally attacked as a result. Dave managed to escape and rode away from the area before collapsing on the street. A passer-by saw him lying in the street and called 9-11.
Apart from being badly beaten and bruised up, Dave suffered a broken cheekbone, and as a result, he may end up losing the use of his eye.
Dave is a single senior gentleman with a wonderful, helpful personality. He stopped to help someone who was in danger and ended up painfully permanently maimed and unable to support himself. He would never ask for a handout, but we know that he will need it eventually, so we are hoping our awesome community can show up for this special man.
Random acts of violence like this occur everywhere, but it is especially scary when it happens in a small town like ours. We hope that the culprits are found and face some serious charges for this, but at this point, we don't know what will happen.

This Thanksgiving weekend, we are thankful that our friend Dave is still alive! And amazingly, he even still has a smile on his face, albeit a crooked one.
