Help Dave Navigate Life After Jodi’s Tragic Passing
Donation protected
This GoFundMe is for my friend, Dave, who recently lost his wife, Jodi. Dave is on disability for medical conditions, and he and Jody really worked harmoniously together. It’s not just that his wife passed away; it was sudden, unexpected, and shocking.
It turns out that Jodi had AVM, which is a lifelong issue, and it just happened to burst a couple of months ago. So, the day was just like any other day until tragedy struck. Dave was doing some yard work, Jodi was getting ready for the day, she took a shower, and Dave came inside to devastation upon finding the love of his life crumpled on the floor of the bathroom. He never got to speak with her again.
Anyone who knew Jodi would describe her as a dynamic, compassionate woman. She was a God-loving family lady who would help you out but also took no shit. A friend everyone would love to have. She stood up for herself and others, which is quite admirable indeed.
For the past couple of years, they would have a weekly dinner date and, in an action of paying forward, would choose a table and cover the cost of the meals.
What blows my mind is that Jodi requested an MRI … and was denied! This, folks, could have prevented a tragic situation, and it saddens me that she was denied care.
Dave is left to take care of their two shepherds, their fur babies, and a life that has such a large hole in it with Jodi gone. It’s overwhelming, dealing with this huge loss and all the hardships that come with life.
I’m asking for community support to assist my friend in his financial footing. Medicare is threatening, bills are mounting, and life is getting tougher and tougher for him.
Any amount would be such a help. They have always helped others, and I’m asking for the community to reach out and help him in his time of grief and need.
