Good morning! I am humbly swallowing my pride today. I am discharging from the hospital in Rockford, IL, with five rib fractures and torn rotator cuff ligaments from an assault that occurred last week at a bus stop from five assailants.

I recently moved back home to Illinois from AZ to begin a fresh start when this occurred. I do work full-time but am unfortunately unable to secure my own housing at this time.

I am swallowing my pride and asking for any help that will allow me to gain such housing and provide transportation to work daily as I return back to work tomorrow, Thursday 3/13. This is a huge step for me to admit and ask for help. I just am in a position where, unfortunately, the shelter will not provide the safe and comfortable environment I need to continue to heal and support my recovery.
