Hi, I'm Mackenzie, Dave's oldest daughter, and I'm starting this GoFundMe on his behalf.

Recently my dad (59) suffered an infection in his right foot that quickly spread into the bone and up his leg. When he went to the Emergency Room, he was told that his foot and half of his calf would need to be amputated. He drives for a living, so with all of the difficulty of the situation, he will also no longer be able to work.

My dad has struggled with diabetes for about 30 years. It's been an uphill battle since his diagnosis. About six years ago he was admitted to the hospital and was so ill because of his diabetes that we almost lost him.

My dad, unfortunately, is not financially solid at all, and any contribution will help him in his recovery and the process of adjusting to this very new life and the struggles that will come with it.

I love my dad very much. He has always supported me whole-heartedly, has come to every one of my shows and always does what he can for the people around him. I just wanted to do something to try and help him through this very difficult time and life adjustment.
