On the evening of January 8th my father suffered a massive brain aneurism while at home. He was immediately transferred to the hospital by ambulance where he fell into a coma while in the ICU. He was then transferred to another hospital where he was put on life support. Doctors told us he had a 5% chance of living through the night. The following morning he showed minor improvement and they performed surgery on his brain to stop the swelling and repair the ruptured aneurism. There is only a 30% chance of surviving this surgery due to risk and the chance of stroke or another aneurism rupture. The surgery was a success and he was no longer considered to be comatose. He currently has not woken up from the sedation in the ICU and it could take several days or weeks for this to happen. He is the hardest worker I’ve ever known and due to being self employed he did not have health insurance. We have a long and expensive road to recovery and every little bit counts. We have experienced many miracles throughout the last few days and will continue to pray for more as we fight by his side.
