UPDATE MARCH 10TH
2021
Holy cow!! Almost to the goal in a week!
Dad wants everyone to know how grateful he is! Every time I go to read a name from a donation he gets very emotional. He plans on thanking everyone individually but currently all the reaching out and donations have left him overwhelmed and speechless!!
But I can thank you for now! I love each and every one of you more than you know <3

(ORIGINAL POST)
Hi Friends!Emily Conrad here! I am writing on behalf of my dad, Dave Conrad - he is kind of in a jam right now.
In May, Dave was laid off from his job of 19 years due to COVID19 and was left with no insurance or safety net. He has been looking for jobs as he works his way through unemployment. Because of his age he now has Medicare/Medicaid, but that doesn't help with dental issues.
For as long as I can remember, my dad has always had teeth problems. He even lectured me earlier today about going to the dentist as often as possible so I don't go through what he has gone through the last 20 years.
My dad has always been the one to help others no questions asked. I can count the number of times on one hand the situations where dad actually asked for help. This situation has been very overwhelming and he does not know what to do.
So I am asking for help for him.
Dad went in for an emergency appointment at the dentist today after an EXTREMELY painful infection developed over the weekend. He was hoping to find a way to save his remaining teeth but that is not an option. He was left with 3 choices:
1. pull them and have no teeth
2. keep the few remaining teeth
3. dentures
After doing the math, keeping the teeth he has will cost more to maintain than the dentures. It will cost him (from start to finish over the course of a year) $10,000. It may have been feasible before when he was employed but this is out of our reach.
I am asking as a daughter to please donate if you can! It's true what they say; every dollar helps. However, 2020 into 2021 has been hard for EVERYONE and I certainly understand not having the means to donate -- don't feel bad at ALL! Just hit the share button and you have done more than enough to help.
I thank each and every one of you in advance and may you and your families continue to be safe during these troubling times.
God Bless,
Emily Conrad
