Help Dave Carpenter & Family
Donation protected
Dave Carpenter is and was a great and tremendous person. He was dependable, he was faithful, and he was extremely loving.
He is married to Joyce, his wife of 40 years. He has two children, one of whom still lives at home. He has 5 grandchildren, one of whom also lives with him. He was the sole provider, working two jobs for the past seven years to provide for his wife, son, and grandson.
He has been serving in the bus ministry at Emmanuel Baptist Temple for the past 49 years. He started as a rider, and continued in the ministry and is currently Captain of Bus #6. The children in the community love him, and lovingly call him Mr. Dave.
Sadly, Mr. Dave became ill on December 6th. He was tested and found out he was positive for COVID-19 on the 11th. He turned 61 on the 14th. Unfortunately he became too ill and needed to be admitted into the hospital on December 16th. His illness continued to progress and went from covid pneumonia, then grew into acute respiratory distress syndrome. He had to be put on a ventilator on Christmas Eve. He eventually developed bacterial pneumonia.
Mr. Dave's only chance of survival is to receive a lung transplant, but, unfortunately, he is no condition to be transported to the University of Maryland for the surgery. There's also the availability of lungs. Time is quickly running out for Mr. Dave.
Monetary donations would be greatly appreciated and lovingly accepted as household bills will need to be paid. The medical bills have not started arriving yet, but we all know they will come. There is also the possibility of funeral expenses in the future. All funds will be given directly to the family and will be used to provide for the family's necessities.
We appreciate all the love and support from all of you. Thank you.
