Help Dave expand a stable wartime business in Israel

Dave and Kathy arrived to Israel 30 years ago, believing it was a God appointment. Dave began a contracting and remodeling business and Kathy got her real estate license in Hebrew. Our businesses have prospered and supported us, through our businesses we helped establish many others who came to Israel. October 7th 2023 the war began with missiles falling meters away from our balcony, what was supposed to last weeks has lasted two years. Israel closed access to Arab workers, working life came to a standstill. Dave couldn’t get his usual men and when work came in sporadically in 2024 the permitted workers and costs tripled in price.

Hoping for an alternative in business that could survive local difficulties, Dave took a course in selling on Amazon. He was in the top 1% of the course and was offered a beta course the next level. We had savings that we invested in an online store on Amazon featuring knitting products. It’s called Clararti. We were thrilled the products he researched and purchased sold well and we made 20% over our initial investment. He reinvested into more inventory, profits also had to go to living. Knitting is seasonal and he’d like to expand to household products which are purchased year-round.

With your support, we can strengthen our business with additional inventory so it can carry us through these uncertain times and provide a future not dependent on the Israeli economy. These past four years—two under COVID and two in an ongoing war—we experienced how important it is to have a reliable, adaptable source of livelihood when everything shuts down partially or fully. Dave will keep remodeling when work is available.

Only once in 30 years in Israel did we ask for help, with God’s help we have made it thus far, we ask for your help now. It is crucial this month as we need to purchase the inventory in a lump sum for the Christmas season which was very successful last year.

Psalm 66:12 “we went through fire and water, but you brought us to a place of abundance.”
