I’m starting this GoFundMe for my dear friend Dave Bauman. Dave and I have been close friends since sixth grade—a friendship that now spans 55 years. We’ve shared a lifetime of memories with friends and family, and we fully expected many more years together. That changed suddenly and devastatingly when Dave was diagnosed with stage 4 pancreatic cancer.

Dave is currently undergoing the most aggressive chemotherapy available. The treatment is exhausting and painful, but he is facing it with remarkable courage, strength, and determination. His priority is clear: to fight this disease and spend as much meaningful time as possible with the people he loves.

The physical battle is only part of the challenge. The financial strain has become overwhelming. Between medical bills, travel for treatment, his mortgage, and unavoidable living expenses, Dave has depleted most of his savings. His income is fixed, and many of these costs are beyond his control.
