Help Dave after complete Home loss due to Fire.
Hi, I'm Billy Dineen and Dave Denholm has been one of my best friends since we were 5. He's a generous, kind-hearted person and always the first to step up when someone needs a hand and the last to stand for accolades. Like George Bailey in "It's a Wonderful Life" he would never ask for the help he needs and deserves.
In the past week or so I've learned a lot about Fire and Homeowners Insurance. The top right corner is Dave's Bedroom. Like most of us at midnight, he was in bed when he heard the sounds and went to investigate. Thank God because Dave himself seems to be one of the few things to make it out intact. Fire moves incredibly fast - in this case, faster than The Fire Department. Most home fires are damage to a room, garage or kitchen. A total home loss is rare but that's the case for Dave. He walked out that night with just the clothes on his back. No vehicle to even drive away in since the aluminum body of his truck melted to puddles on the garage floor. His childhood home, with all them memories it contained, reduced to a charred shell of destruction.
Good Homeowner's Insurance doesn't come close to covering The Financial loss in the best of times. These aren't the best of times for construction costs. With the crazy increase of building materials, especially lumber prices, the gap between what Insurance pays and actual replacement cost is astounding.
Dave is The George Bailey of Tallmadge, that guy that's always doing something for someone but you never see his name in the paper. Whether it's a little or a lot your donation will remind him that his friends, family and community love, appreciate and support him.
