Donation protected
Meet Dasia, a bright shinning, rising star. Dasia has been awarded a fellowship to study music in Europe! Wait let me back up. Dasia is a Junior at Detroit's Cass Tech with a 3.5 GPA. She is on the track team and sings with the Concert Choir. Dasia coaches The Oak Park Saints 9 year old and younger cheer team. She is an active member of the young sisters elite club, a mentoring program that encourages young ladies to cultivate their talents and passions. Dasia is also a cast member with Que Blackout a well loved theater production group for youth, where she sings, acts and dances. While Dasia has been entering Pageants since she was 4 it was in 3rd grade when the performance bug bit her. When Dasia was given the song God Bless the Child by Billie Holiday she surprised the audience and her parents alike. This was followed the play The Wiz where Dasia played Dorothy. She has since been Timon in the Lion King, and Cinderella in her dance company's musical theater piece. Dasia is trained in the violin and the clarinet and self taught on the piano and guitar. Dasia has been fortunate to sing in many different choirs, including the Michigan Opera Theater Children’s Chorus, performing in the Opera The Very Last Green Thing at the Fisher Theater. She currently sings with the Community Chorus of Detroit. CCD has given Dasia the opportunity of a lifetime with this musical fellowship. They are covering her transportation, yes the international flight, room and board, a meal per day,her class, musical scores and accompaniment. I am seeking your help to give her the opportunity to really enjoys the culture of Belgium, the Netherlands and Paris. A chance to explore some local cuisine and and a show or some galleries. If you are able to donate I know she will be grateful. If you are unable to donate, please share this post and join our prayers for a safe trip.
Thank you.
