My name is Dashiell, and I am a filmmaker who is trying to make a new film. The name of the film is FRIENDSGIVING. Here is the logline:

"A group of 20-somethings discuss their relationships, jobs and modes of faith while preparing for a Thanksgiving away from their families."

This will be my fourth short film that I have directed. It will also be the longest, most ambitious, most dialogue-heavy, and the biggest crew and cast I have ever worked with. Good grief, I'm nervous. Yes, there's not a day that goes by I don't doubt the man in the mirror staring back at me. How are we gonna cook all the food we need for this film? And what will we do with it after we're done? But I digest...

All of my shorts have been microbudgets—and I'm talking micro budgets. I have funded what I could. But I need help this time. I am making this with good friends and contemporary professionals alike. We live in Los Angeles, and we really want to make things together—we want to act, we want to photograph, we want to design sound, and we want to tell stories.

This story is about fleeting youth, friendship, and generational identity. It is about getting to the end of the beginning of your life. Please help us tell this story.
