My name is Darwin Jones, and I am the eldest son of Darwin Marquette Thomas. I am creating this GoFundMe on behalf of my family after the sudden and tragic loss of my father.

Darwin Marquette Thomas was a passenger in a horrific multi-car accident on Suitland Parkway on February 6th,2026. Life-saving measures were performed by EMS at the scene, but despite their efforts, my father succumbed to his injuries. He was not the driver in this accident—he was an innocent passenger whose life was cut short so unexpectedly. He was the only person who lost their life in this tragic accident.

This unforeseen tragedy has devastated our entire family. My father had so much life ahead of him and so many plans to continue building memories with his children and loved ones. He was a devoted father of 4, brother, uncle, and friend. His personality and smile could light up any room he walked into. He had a way of making people laugh, feel welcome, and feel loved.

We are now faced with the emotional pain of losing him, along with the unexpected financial burden of funeral and burial expenses. We are asking for any donations, prayers, and support to help us give my father the homegoing service and proper burial he deserves. No amount is too small, and every contribution means more to us than words can express.
