Help Darryl Byrd

For those of you who may not know, my father Darryl Byrd suffered a stroke this morning and  was rushed to the hospital where it was confirmed that he was bleeding from his brain. He had to undergo emergency brain surgery to stop the bleed and to relieve the pressure on his brain. Right now, he remains in ICU and is likely to stay there until at least next week. The ICU will be followed by a hospital stay and likely rehabilitation and therapy.

My father recently started a new job and currently does not have health insurance. While we are working to get him covered, we know that he will likely need to pay the initial medical bills out of pocket and could be out of work for the foreseeable future. To try to ease my dad’s financial burden and to allow him the space focus on his recovery, I am starting this #GoFundMe Page to help him pay for his brain surgery, treatment and recovery time.  

My dad is not the type of man who would ask for assistance, but he really need it. We are asking those who know him and love him to support him in this time of need. If you can donate- please do. Any amount will help.
