Help Darren Kuusisto beat Cancer

Darren has been diagnosed with Squamous Cell  Carcinoma and has a very long road ahead of him including a very extensive Surgery on February 26 where he will be cut ear to ear and neck to lip so they can remove over 150 lymph nodes from both sides of his neck. From there they have to remove the muscle and nerve from the side of his neck and also place a Tracheotomy. They will then cut his Jaw in half and remove a quarter of the back of his tongue which will be replaced with skin grafts from his arm and leg.

This surgery will be over 18 hours long and he will have an extensive hospital stay. Following all of this he will then be completing Chemotherapy, radiation, Physiotherapy for his neck and arm, speech therapy and also therapy for Swallowing.

This will leave darren out of work for over one year. The fact that they live 2 hours from each appointment means there are so many expenses involved for travel, aaccommodations and loss of work so we are just trying to help in any way we can.

Darren is not only staying strong for his situation but also for his wife Tammy's. Tammy has gone through 2 procedures in the last few months and will find out in April if they were able to remove all the 3rd stage pre-cancerous cells.

They are both heading down a long road and any financial relief we can provide will be one less thing they need to worry about so they can focus on getting through this tough battle.
