On May 14th, a severe wind storm tore through Western Manitoba and completely ripped the roof off of Darren Charron’s home. Moments later, strong rains poured directly into the mobile home, causing significant damage throughout the interior.

This wasn’t just a house. It was Darren’s home, and it happened in the middle of a major renovation project that he had already invested countless hours, effort, and money into trying to improve for himself.

The damage is extensive and will require:

full roof replacement

insulation replacement

some interior reconstruction

likely flooring replacement

water remediation and cleanup

electrical and additional repair work

Unfortunately, the home was not insured, as Darren was unable to obtain insurance coverage for the mobile home.

We know the fundraising goal likely won’t cover the true cost of repairs, but every single dollar will help Darren begin rebuilding and recovering from this devastating situation.
