On Wednesday, August 25th, Darren Mitchell, his wife Latisha and their family suffered a tragic loss as an electrical fire took their home, furniture and personal belongings. Darren and Latisha were not only raising their children in this home, but they had also taken on the responsibility of raising their grandchildren in this home.
Fortunately no one was harmed, but rebuilding from a life changing event can be so convoluted, time consuming, emotional and psychologically taxing. As Darren and Latisha work to rebuild their lives and home for them and their family, lets help remove some of the financial burden that comes with these tragedies.
Tragedy is a fickle and random beast. Last year Darren and Latisha lost one of their sons unexpectedly and after rebuilding their lives from that tragedy, they now have to begin the process of rebuilding from this tragedy.
Both Darren and Latisha work hard and long hours to provide for their immediate and extended families, and it is time for Darren and Latisha to be on the receiving end of the generosity of others. I have set a goal of $10,000, but if we get enough people to reach into their pockets, couch cushions and vehicle consoles we can quickly reach this goal for Darren and Latisha.
Thank you for anything you can contribute and thank you for sharing this GoFundMe with your friends and social media contacts.
