Help Darrel's next "step" in life.

Suzanne Koogle is organizing this fundraiser on behalf beneficiary, Darrel R. Seucharan.
My dear brother Darrel Seucharan (aka "Rich Fish" ) is a proud alumni of Presentation College, San Fernando (Class of 1989). I created this GoFundMe to expedite his financial ability to acquire necessary medical equipment after a below-the-knee amputation.
An injury to his right foot sustained in November 2020 developed a gangrene infection resulting in the March 2021 amputation. This life saving procedure consequently led to his need of a transtibial (below knee) prosthesis which is quite expensive. Additionally, he was alerted to the severity of his breathing and needs to be evaluated for obstructive sleep apnea (OSA) for treatment with a mechanical device known as a 'continuous positive airway pressure' (CPAP). This limb-loss compounded by the COVID-19 pandemic has ceased Darrel’s ability to work. His savings is rapidly dissolving to pay for the medical bills which have been adding up quickly. Unfortunately, he has no private medical insurance to facilitate his recovery. In addition, the public-healthcare system in Trinidad and Tobago is saturated with numerous financial aid petitions which makes it unlikely that he will receive financial assistance timely.
Those of you who know my brother also know that he is a private and a fiercely loyal person. He is more comfortable helping others rather than being the recipient of assistance. As a young child, Darrel would voluntarily wash his Aunt's car while she visited simply because she lived alone and was too busy. As a member of the Cub Scouts (of Trinidad & Tobago) he participated in little projects to assist the local orphanages and home(s) for the elderly. This altruism followed him into adulthood where he constantly looks for ways to give back to family, friends and members of the community. He is the guy who's uncanny humor could help you to forget the 'messed-up day' you are having in the office. Darrel is also the guy who listens intently to your conversations and surprises you by purchasing & presenting you with an item you were earnestly hunting for. He is a dedicated and loving father to his 8 yr old son, Daniel, and desires to actively participate in every aspect of his life.
As traumatic and horrible as this limb loss has been to Darrel, we are grateful to God for his kind mercies in his recovery so far. Darrel maintains a very positive attitude and is facing his challenges "head-on" every day. Any donation is a blessing. Donations submitted to this GoFundMe will come to me and I will submit them via international bank-wire to Darrel's bank account in Trinidad and Tobago.
With immense faith in God and with all of our support we know he will get back on his feet to walk independently again. Thank you for keeping him, his son Daniel, and our parents, Myrtle & David in your prayers.
International donors: To submit a donation directly from you to Darrel, please private message me for more information.
