Help Darrell Recover From Tragic Burns

How much can one son take? Survived aggressive Leukemia only to be caught in an explosion at work.
Meet Darrell – a beloved son, brother, friend, avid fisher, hunter and believer in living your best life, which included spending time with his beloved nieces and nephew. Darrell is having the worst year of his life. 9 months ago, Darrell collapsed at work and was rushed to the hospital. After extensive tests, the news was what everyone feared. Leukemia, and the most aggressive and treatment resistant type at that. Darrell held on and pushed through three rounds of chemotherapy. During his last treatment in March, he ended up with a major blood infection and almost died, but again, he fought and held on. Darrell was in full remission, but not yet out of the woods. The chemo had left his body covered in open wounds requiring frequent care. Yet Darrell held on and kept fighting, returning to the life he loved and work. Finally with the end in sight, another tragedy struck. While at work on the morning of July 3rd, the induction furnace full of molten metal that Darrell was manning, exploded. Witnesses saw Darrell pulling off his burning clothes while running for the exit, fighting to survive he made it out of the building on his own. Darrell was Life Flighted to the region’s best burn center where he remains in grave condition, in a medically induced coma with 2nd and 3rd degree burns over 40% of his body. That severity of burns is critical for a healthy adult, much less one that has been fighting for his life for the past 9 months. He will be going through multiple surgeries and hospital visits. And yet, Darrell is holding on, once again giving death the finger and saying “I will not quit! I will not go quietly into the night!”.
Please help Darrell in his fight to return to the life he dreams of, in a boat fishing, or in the woods hunting, with this horrible year behind him. No one should have to go through all of this, only to end up having to fight back on overdue bills.
