Dear Friends and Family!
I am so excited to announce that I will be serving on my very 1st adult mission’s trip this summer (July 27th - August 10th) in Cape Town, South Africa !!
The last five years have been some of the most challenging in my personal, professional and spiritual life, yet God has not ceased to amaze me. The darkness sometimes feels all-consuming but I have refused to give up or give in. I have steadily been seeking, “what’s next” in all these areas and what has often felt like to no avail. But I haven't let that stop me from seeking. And for those who know me well, you know one of the most significant accomplishments in this next chapter of my life is to go to Africa and serve in a(n) educational, racial/social justice and/or spiritual capacity. I’ve applied to program after program, yet door after door has remained closed to me.
But today the right door has finally opened. Even greater is that I don’t have to choose one of my passions over the other; I will be able to engage in all three. I have been offered a wonderful opportunity to do a most amazing work; to honor the life of one of God’s most precious gifts no longer with us. I will honor her life and legacy by helping to build a curriculum for the young girls of South Africa . This work will provide these girls with after school internet access and hardware, books reflecting powerful and influential women of color and training for young teenage girls to sustain the empowerment this curriculum is intended to establish. For these reasons, I have hope that I can make an impact. But I need help getting there…

When you give, you join me on the journey towards South Africa , during my time there, and everything that God is going to do even after I'm gone. What a mighty impact you will be making. To all the educators, activists, artists and ministers, your contributions will not only assist me in achieving my goals, but I will be partnering with your passions and purpose as well.
The ORGANIZATION: Believers World Outreach (BWO)
Social justice has shaped the way I live, see the world and serve in my vocation. So everything I do in my family, faith and career must reflect that. This organization is dedicated to a Justice Gospel. BWO is passionate about the mandate of God and the Ministry of Justice. True biblical justice speaks of loving the poor, orphans, immigrants, refugees, and prisoners (Psalm 82:3), continuing all the way back to restoring the broken things in our own lives (Psalm 139:23-24). To seek Justice starts by stopping the agenda of our souls and asking God to check our hearts, “Lord, show me the areas in my own life of injustice, unforgiveness, and judgment against others”. We must be reliant on God to lead us in loving the weaker and destitute for “he leads the humble in justice." (Psalm 25:9). Only then are we able to love people past our own limitations!
I will be fundraising to take part in this mission and need your support. Any gift will help me get to Africa and do the work of my heart and God's will. Will you consider coming alongside and giving towards my efforts? There is no gift too small. I appreciate your willingness, openness and sacrifice. Even more so, I would love to have your continued prayers and encouragement!
