Hi, I’m Darling Squire, a Chicago-based artist, and I’m making a big change in my life by moving to Los Angeles. I was going to be moving in with a family member, but due to some matters that have come up, I will no longer be able to stay with them, and I need to find a new place.

I’m raising this money to secure an apartment in Los Angeles, help me get on my feet for the first two months, and get me moved out there from Chicago.

I am lining up jobs and gigs and have a few projects underway, as well as making my rounds getting to know the arts admin landscape out there.

This move has been a long time coming, and while I’m a little nervous about it, it’s time for me to step out of my comfort zone in Chicago and go make the necessary connections so I can expand my art practice and build a bridge connecting the Chicago underground music scene to Los Angeles.
