Help Darlene Scott after Dan's tragic passing.

Hi, my name is Daniel Ashurst. I have been a friend of Dan & Darlene Scott for nearly 30 years. We have served together at Faith Heights Church. Dan & I served together on the praise team, Dan is a world-class guitarist whose skill and technique on a guitar have been admired by a multitude of people.

On Friday, February 17th Dan began experiencing pain in his chest and also felt like maybe there was a problem in his stomach. What we now know is that he was experiencing a torn Aorta. The Aorta is the longest blood vessel in your body. It extends all the way from the heart to the groin area. This may explain why he thought it was an issue with his stomach.

Dan got to Community Hospital, was subsequently transferred by ambulance to Saint Mary's Hospital, was brought in for emergency surgery and subsequently died on the operating table, his Aorto so damaged it could not be repaired. Dan died Friday afternoon.

Dan did not have health nor life insurance which now places Darlene in a dire situation financially, trying to cover all the medical and burial expenses. Additionally, Dan and Darlene, like many couples, rely upon both incomes to make ends meet financially. Therefore Darlene will need these medical expenses and burial expenses paid in order to focus on simply making ends meet going forward.
