Many of you know my mother-in-law, Darlene Odell, as the store mom of Dragon's Hoard Games, but she was also very active in the Boy Scouts and loved the out of doors. In January of this year she was rushed to the ER in Silverdale, Washington, with a massive UTI that had gone septic and damaged her kidneys and heart. Since then she has been in and out of rehab and the hospital in an attempt to regain her strength and come home. Sadly, between frequent severe UTIs, worsening kidney function, and receiving a pacemaker in early April, she has not made the hoped for progress and she has now been referred to hospice care. It's time for Darlene to come home so she can play with the cat and see family and friends.

The out-of-pocket medical bills have already drained her savings. We hope to raise enough money to cover further bills and hire personal care to help keep her comfortable and happy.
