Darlene, my sister, and Jesse, her husband, recently experienced a devastating house fire that destroyed their home and all of their belongings. This was the home where Darlene built her business, the place they came home to after getting married, and their very first home together in their 20s. It was also Jesse, her husband's, childhood home—a place filled with memories from his earliest years. Over the past seven years, Darlene and Jesse poured their hearts and worked hard into making it a safe, loving space for themselves, their dogs, and all who visited. In a matter of minutes, everything they worked so hard for was taken away, leaving them with nothing but the clothes on their backs.

The funds raised through this campaign will go directly toward helping Darlene and Jesse find temporary housing, restore their home, and replace essential items for themselves and their 2 fur babies. Any help will get them back on their feet and the long journey ahead as they rebuild their lives and home again.
