Help Darlene Fight Leukemia
Donation protected
Many of you may or may not know Darlene's complete story of battles. It all started in 2005 when she was diagnosed with Stage 1 Uterine Cancer. She had a Hysterectomy, followed by radiation. Many years went by when she was "cancer free".
December 2016 she began fighting her next battle: Stage 1 breast cancer. She had a Lumpectomy in January of 2017 followed by radiation treatment. At her six month checkup, her doctors found another spot in the same breast. Radiation was not an option this time around since it was so soon after the first set, so after much deliberation it was decided to remove her right breast.
Fast forward to February of 2019 when Darlene began with severe back pain and frequent fatigue. Xrays led to MRI's, which led to a bone marrow biopsy. That was how she was diagnosed with APL: Acute promyelocytic leukemia. She was admitted immediately to Robert Wood Johnson and began chemotherapy. After many endless weeks in the hospital she was discharged home where she can be as comfortable as possible with her family and her dog. She continues to return to Robert Wood Johnson five days a week for chemotherapy, which will continue for the next seven months.
As you can imagine, her medical bills are beginning and the last thing she needs during this time is to be worrying about that. Our family kindly asks for any donation, big or small, to contribute to her medical bills and allow her to fight this battle without additional worries on her plate. This is not something that is easy for our family in any means, so again, any donation will be a huge help. Please share Darlene's story with your loved ones and friends.
Darlene is more than willing to text or talk with friends, family or coworkers about her journey and appreciates visitors at times. Please feel free to reach out to her, her husband Mark or her two daughters Allison and Megan should you have any additional questions.
Thank you from the bottom of our hearts,
The Stinchcomb Family
