Darlene Bosch, a 45 year breeder, exhibitor, KCA Legacy member and true lover of Keeshonden needs our help. Badly.
Darlene had been feeling terrible for a few months when she was told by her landlord in June that he had sold the house she has rented for 20 plus years. He gave her less than 30 days to get out.
While she was trying to find an affordable place to live on her meager disablity and dog grooming funds, her pain continued to increase to the point that she was in constant agony. An OB-GYN diagnosed an ovarian cyst the size of a grapefruit and suggested she should wait to see if it could be managed by pain meds before considering removing the cyst. When after a few weeks, the pain increased, she was sent to an oncologist, who saw indications of cancer. She needs an MRI to confirm the diagnosis but she has to be tested for COVID-19 before that can happen. Her test is not scheduled until July 12th! We are working with her to try to speed this up and help get her stronger pain medication, as she can barely move at this point. We should all hope that the cancer signs are wrong, but she will certainly face medical bills. And she still doesn't have a place to live.
Those of you who know Darlene remember that she is a generous person, who shows her kindness even when she can't afford the gift she is giving to a friend. She needs us to show our generosity now. Any amount that you can contribute to our Help Darlene Fund is appreciated and no donation is too small.
Update: Darlene's surgery has now been scheduled for July 22nd.
Please share this fundraiser with your Facebook friends as with the new algorithm I don't know how many of my friends will see it. Thank you to all who have already contributed.
