At just 23 years old, Darius J. Harris is facing a battle that no young person should have to fight: leukemia. On May 23rd, Darius received the life-altering diagnosis and was rushed to MD Anderson in Houston to begin immediate treatment. His journey will require a stem cell transplant in the near future, a critical step toward remission and recovery.

This sudden diagnosis has brought not only emotional and physical strain but also significant financial hardship for Darius and his family. They are currently working with Louisiana insurance to navigate mounting medical expenses, but the process has been slow and complicated, adding stress to an already overwhelming time.

As a devoted and loving mother, she is doing everything she can to ensure Darius receives the best care possible. I’ve had the privilege of working with Lisa for several years, and she’s become a close friend. Her strength, love, and fierce commitment to her family are nothing short of inspiring.
