My name is Darren, and I am writing to you from the heart of Gaza, where my family and I have endured relentless hardship and displacement due to the ongoing conflict. Our story is one of resilience and hope amidst unimaginable adversity.

We are a large family of six: my father Muhammad (55), my mother Suzan (45), my older brother Omar (23), my sister Dareen (20), my younger sister Hadeel (17), and my younger brother Karim. (11).

Our journey has been marked by repeated displacements, each more terrifying than the last. As we fled on foot to escape the constant threat of violence, we lost our home in Gaza and, tragically, many of our dear relatives. Displacement, initially meant to be short, has stretched into months as we struggle to stabilize amid the chaos of war. We now find ourselves living in a makeshift tent in a semi-desert area in southern Gaza, where daily life is a battle against insects, diseases and the unforgiving elements.

I humbly appeal for your compassion and generosity in our time of greatest need. Your support will provide us with the means to transition to a safer environment, protect our children from the upheavals of conflict so they can continue their education, and enable me to resume my studies in pharmacy. The war has interrupted my education, but my determination to contribute positively to my community through health care remains steadfast
