Help Darian Play for the Wellington Sports Academy Elite Volleyball Team
My son Darian has dreamed of playing for an elite club volleyball team since his freshman year of high school—although he was able to play a few short summer seasons with WVBA,
Yesterday he was offered a spot on the Elite Travel Team at the brand-new Wellington Sports Academy, a state-of-the-art facility founded by Jon Bostic of the Washington Commanders. It’s an incredible opportunity that offers high-level competition, exposure for potential college scholarships, and an experience that could shape his future.
This is Darian’s senior year of high school, his last chance to play at this level before college. I want to do everything I can to help him live out this dream, but we can’t do it alone.
Darian has always been an honor roll student, a kind and respectful young man, and someone who pours his heart into everything he does. He spends most of his free time working/ and playing at the golf course, or playing volleyball at open gym. Volleyball has become more than a sport for him—it’s been a healthy outlet, a motivator, and a way to stay focused and grounded.
The cost for the season is $4,200, not including travel, uniforms, or lodging. We’re reaching out to our friends, family, and community to help make this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity possible.
Any contribution—big or small—would mean the world to us. Not only is this a chance for Darian to chase his dream, but it also keeps him busy, active, and working toward something meaningful. I truly believe he deserves this.
Thank you so much for your support.
With love and gratitude,
Keri Shrove & Darian Govea
