Help Darian and Seth Through This Hard Time

Darian and Seth’s son Beckett is in the hospital with Hemolytic Uremic Syndrome. They have been in the hospital A LOT trying to figure out what is going on. As of right now the most recent update is that just fluids aren’t working well enough to reverse kidney damage so they are moving forward with doing a blood transfusion. Due to being in the hospital so much expenses are rising for them especially since their main source of income is Seth’s barbershop and he has been missing work. Also buying hospital food everyday and gas is a lot! Please consider giving them a helping hand in this super stressful time for them! I know they would NEVER ask for this in a million years but it would help them tremendously!!

Hey guys. Just an update on Beckett for those who don’t know. Saturday (last week) we started seeing blood in Beckett’s stool so I took him to urgent care and they said he could possibly have infectious gastrionitis and to take antibiotics. The next day it seemed to be getting worse and he stopped eating completely. He didn’t eat one thing Sunday and we started getting worried as he was super lethargic and just not himself. We took him to the ER Sunday night and was transferred via ambulance to STL children’s hospital and stayed until Tuesday evening. They did a bunch of X-rays, ultrasound, stool tests and blood tests and couldn’t find anything causing his problems. At the end they were just keeping him for supportive care to make sure he had enough fluids. We got discharged and he was seeming better. Still was bleeding but he was happy, playing and eating so that was a good sign for us. Thursday night we noticed he was looking a little bit yellow and the whites of his eyes were yellow. The next day (yesterday) still the same. I called the pediatrician and she said to immediately head back up to STL ER. We got admitted at midnight last night and will probably be here for a few days. Right now based on his bloodwork they think it is Hemolytic Uremic Syndrome. They are trying to reverse the injury to his kidneys by giving him an excess of fluids. Right now they are just giving him fluids and retesting his levels every now and then to see positive change. Please keep him in your prayers ❤️
