Help Darian and Ivy Find a Safe Home

Hi, my name is Michael Saija and I am initiating this fundraiser for a friend of mine, Darian Daniels, and his pet dog Ivy, as seen in the photos.

Darian lives in Dravosburg, Pennsylvania, which is a small town and part of McKeesport, PA. It is an outer suburb of Pittsburgh.

Darian is moderately autistic and, at 33 years old, is past the stage of group homes and is living independently.

Darian is supported by the UPMC (Univ. of Penn. Med Ctr.) system at the moment, but he needs to be moved. They will, of course, pay for his new home's rent, but not the moving expenses. The last time he moved, it cost approximately $3,000 USD.

Why move? The reason is that a neighbor woman is continually threatening him and his dog. The police have not been of any help, and he is told because she is an adjacent neighbor (different building but next door) that they will not issue a restraining order.

Last night (March 27, 2025) was traumatic in that the woman came up from behind while Darian was walking Ivy and kicked her. This set off Darian's depression, and he became suicidal, requiring a visit to the hospital Emergency Department.

He was later discharged during the night, and today has asked me to set up this GoFundMe page to try to get some funds for a move. He does not want to burden me with more expenses as I have helped him quite a bit with his antique hobby by repairing radios and an antique television for him in recent months at my own expense.
